Martial Haprov is the Public Information Officer for the Mojave Desert Air Quality Management District. Martial lives in Hesperia with his children, Lolo, 8, and Alex, 5.

Martial graduated from Excelsior Charter Schools and worked for the Daily Press from 2007 to 2018 as an editor, designer and food columnist.

Martial attended Maple Elementary and Hesperia Junior High schools prior to attending Excelsior.

Martial was the Chair of the Hesperia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors prior to its merger with the Adelanto, Apple Valley and Victor Valley chambers. He later served as Chair of the Greater High Desert Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He also serves on the California Air Pollution Control Officers Association’s Public Outreach Committee and is a member of the California Association of Public Information Officials. He previously served for nearly five years on the High Desert Opportunity/Education Summit committee.
